Nationwide RV Travel Clubs

Many RVers relish the idea of finding solitude and getting away from it all. But they also enjoy striking up new friendships and sharing their passion for the RV lifestyle with like-minded travelers.

List of Clubs

Camping clubs open up new worlds, offering camaraderie and a sense of belonging. Leading national clubs, like the Good Sam Club and Family Motor Coach Association, offer a long list of benefits, from campground discounts to emergency road service. Even with a large national organization, it's easy to get involved by participating in local chapter activities.

Smaller clubs operate more like a social organization than a business; some target specific groups. Loners on Wheels, for example, serves the single traveler, counting 3,000 members nationwide. In addition to nine annual rallies, 400 regional campouts are organized within this group.

Major RV manufacturers sponsor camping clubs whose members own that particular brand of recreational vehicle. Club benefits may include trip routing, discounted RV insurance, a newsletter, mail forwarding, and road service. These clubs sponsor rallies and tours for local chapters and the national membership.

Once a year, most brand-name clubs sponsor a national rally. For long time members, this can be like "old home week." Festivities sometimes include seminars on "home" improvement, (and related topics on vehicle maintenance and operation), musical entertainment, meals together, etc.

You're the only one that knows how you prefer to travel in your RV. Write to the clubs listed below. We advise that you look over their material, perhaps go on an outing with the group, then decide if RVing with a club is right for you!
