Bicolor Roses (continued)

Bicolor roses are unusual in that each rose is blessed with multiple colors on each petal.  These colors can be in several forms:

  • Blush - when there is a transition from the main color of the petal to the second color only at the tips of the petals
  • Reverse - The petals have one color on the top side, and the second color on the under side
  • Splash - The petals have what appears to be paint-splashes of one color on petals of the other color.

Color: Orange and yellow splash

Variance:  Red blush spreads down petals as rose opens

Color: Red petals with yellow reverse

Variance:  Yellow reverse can be lighter, almost ivory at times

Scentimental
Color: Burgundy, creamy white splash
Sizes shown: Large, medium, small
Type: Garden, Floribunda
Variance:  Broad, some are nearly all red while others have lots of cream

Snowfire
Color: Red with snow white reverse

Variance:  Minimal, tends to have ball shape as it opens
